2005—present · career and project timeline

Build the system. Grow the team. Understand the work.

My route into technology started in operations, not a computer lab. That perspective still shapes how I lead: begin with the people doing the work, understand the real constraint, and build from there.

The career arc

Overlapping bands show the real relationships: direct employment at PSC; enterprise and nonprofit projects delivered later through Empath Design; and founder work alongside both.

Five chapters, one through-line

Each chapter added a different kind of judgment: operational, managerial, architectural, consultative, and entrepreneurial.

2005—2010

Scientific Games · Senior Manager, Product Support

Learn the operation from the front line—and automate what gets in the way.

I moved from manufacturing and quality assurance into a call center, where small Excel and Visual Basic tools became a way to make work easier. As manager, I led a 24/7 operation covering technical support, field dispatch, and customer service while continuing to build internal software.

2010—2015

Scientific Games · Senior Manager, Custom Development

Turn “shadow IT” into a software leadership career.

What began as solving problems between other responsibilities became a formal move into IT. I managed a team of four to six developers building internal applications in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem and connecting practical interfaces to enterprise systems including Oracle and SAP.

Scientific Games became Light & Wonder after my departure.

2014—2021

PSC · full-time consultant

Turn operating experience into client architecture.

I moved into full-time consulting, pairing hands-on delivery with an operator’s understanding of adoption and support. The work progressed from SharePoint and .NET solutions into mobile products, full-stack architecture, and delivery leadership.

WheelsCreated the proof of concept and full-stack architecture for the company’s first public mobile app; the prototype became a multiyear engagement.
GallagherBuilt document-management and administrative experiences using SharePoint, .NET, and Angular.
PricewaterhouseCoopersLed development and UI design for a Lotus Notes migration, including data design and delivery planning.

PSC was later acquired by Netrix Global.

2021—present

Empath Design · founder and principal consultant

Build a company that grows people as well as software.

I founded Empath Design as a human-centered consulting studio. It has grown beyond my individual work into a small multidisciplinary team: I have recruited and hired people with varied backgrounds, matched their strengths to real client needs, and supported them as consultants, developers, trainers, analysts, and project leaders.

Harbor Hub · founder

Apply the lessons by building the business.

Opened in early 2026, Harbor Hub gives Kenosha’s freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and growing teams a professional place to work and connect. My role spans the full business: concept, space, launch, member experience, digital journeys, operations, partnerships, and community programming.

The through-line is empathy made operational.

I understand how systems are supported, how teams build them, how clients adopt them, and how people grow into unfamiliar roles. My career is a pattern of noticing potential—in a process, a person, or a place—and creating the conditions for it to become useful.
